#5- Babylon 5 is a community of travelers.
Everyone on the Babylon 5 station was away from home. They were a vast community of travelers. We watched our heroes gravitate towards those they related to and those they were inspired by. They arrived on the station perhaps knowing very few others, and created community out of common ground. B5 fans have a common group already built in. As a seasoned traveler I know it’s so much better to travel with your tribe. Or fellowship, if you will. (1) Traveling in New Zealand, you’ll encounter many others, seeking adventure like you are. Every excursion you join you’ll have the opportunity to meet folks and find out what you have in common.

#4- B5 fans are adventurous!
The characters on B5 dove into the unknown, some more willing than others! New Zealand is an adventure just by being there. What’s more adventurous than flying to the other side of the planet and exploring a new country? Especially this country! From sunny beaches and golden sunsets to wild seashores with crashing blue ocean waves.
Heading into majestic mountains, climbing glaciers, wine tasting, or wandering through the meadows of the Shire, there’s an opportunity for adventure for everyone!

# 3- On Babylon 5, very little time went by before the crew encountered something unexpected.
New Zealand is the land of Unexpected Journeys! The Hobbit begins with Bilbo’s unexpected journey when he joins a Wizard and troop of Dwarves. He encounters trolls, spiders and a dragon just to name a few unexpected players in their story!
Who and what will you encounter on your visit to New Zealand?
A lot of cheerfulness and friendliness in the locals (and not a few sheep). Other travelers happy to share their experience and a story or two.
And perhaps a LotRs celebrity or two!

#2- On Babylon 5, we meet beings from dozens of different civilizations.
The ones we got to know, G’Kar, Delenn, Londo and their attaches cared deeply for their planets. For their people’s well being and survival. They certainly were not unique on the station. How many episodes can you recall where a character was striving to help their people and planet?
We too care about our planet, our Mother Earth. New Zealand’s belief in stewardship of the land was and continues to be fostered by the indigenous people, the Maori. NZ is leading the way in keeping their island country pure and free from pollutants.
When you visit, you cannot help but feel the difference as soon as you take a deep breath! Moving through the country, you’ll note the spaciousness, the green hills and white mountains. Their food is clean, the water is clean and the countryside is just a joy to experience. The characters in B5 would weep to see the beauty of this country.
But, like the whole planet, things are changing. Go see NZ as soon as you can! It will inspire you in so many ways.
Babylon 5 fans, like sci fi fans everywhere, see what the future could look like if we do not take care of our planet. We know science matters, and the Earth needs us.

# 1- As a Babylon 5 fan, we appreciate epic storylines!
The passion of the characters and how their experience during those 5 seasons changed them. Those big stories are reflected in New Zealand. The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings films could only have been made there. The country is epic indeed. Many have described it but none can do it justice.
You must be there and feel it.
We B5 fans love how large our heroes live. We love the sweeping storylines, the highest highs and the deepest lows. That’s why we rewatch the shows. To feel that again.
Traveling to New Zealand brings up those feelings over and over again and invites you into your own epic adventure – adding to your own epic story.
